Joel Stevenson, Executive
Director
Joel Stevenson graduated from the Georgia Institute of
Technology in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial
Management. Joel’s experience comes from his successful business
career: he founded, co-owned and was the president of four waste
management companies. He sold two companies to private investors,
took one company public and sold one to Safety Kleen.
Joel became the Director of the USC Columbia technology incubator in
1999. Helping businesses is his passion and for that he won the
Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce’s Individual Achievement Award
2006. He is married to Leigh who is a children’s books author.
Together they have two children, Gray and Xander.

Agata Chydzinski, Program logistician
Born in Poland in 1982, Agata moved to France with her parents
in 1984. She graduated from a French high school in 2000 obtaining a
European Baccalaureate in Literature and Linguistics. Before
transferring to the Moore school of Business at the University of
South Carolina in 2003, she studied at the American Business School
in Paris. She graduated from both schools. She holds a BSBA in
Marketing and Management (Minor Public Relations and Advertising)
from USC and a BBA in Marketing from the American Business School in
Paris. She is currently the Program Logistician for the USC Columbia
Technology Incubator where she works under the guidance of Joel
Stevenson.
